Henry Allingham was a prolific and popular author of books on gardening and wild flowers, which were largely based on his own field observations. He wrote about 260 titles, of which 90 were published in his lifetime. Amongst his best-known works are "The Book of the Wild Garden", "The Book of Flowers", and "The Book of Wild Flowers".
